Red Rock Central School District (RRC) is located in southwestern Minnesota. RRC consolidated in 1997 from the communities of Lamberton, Sanborn, Storden, and Jeffers and serve approximately 400 students in grades k-12. We also provide a preschool program for 3 and 4 year olds and offer Early Childhood Family Education. Our district is not racially diverse as about 92% of our student body is Caucasian, but 46% of our student body is on the free and reduced lunch program (FRP).

We pride ourselves in having caring and supportive staff in all grades. It is very common and, of course, enjoyable to hear our new students say, "The staff really care at this school!" We strongly value relationships with the students as well as communication with parents. A high percentage of our students participate in extra- and co-curriculars, which provides more opportunities for relationship building.

Even though we are a small school, we do a lot with a little. Some examples of this include having our own digital fabrication lab and a fully functioning three-stall auto shop. We also offer concurrent enrollment, Advanced Placement, and articulated agreement classes.

We typically perform 8-15% above state averages on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs). In 2017-2018, our secondary students who qualify for the FRP scored 75% proficiency on the Reading MCAs while our students not qualified for FRP scored 81.5% proficiency. This success for all of our students is a testament to our students' commitment to learning and our staff's dedication to our kids.
