Igniting the passion for education at Caddo Magnet High School!

Igniting the passion for education at Caddo Magnet High School!

Caddo Magnet High School's daily commitment to excellence in education has led to an almost 40-year history of successful preparation for graduation: college graduation. Progressive leadership, attention to data, and faculty committed to professional growth and student activities has resulted in a consistent quality education both academically and socially. In the words of one student, "There is something for everyone at Magnet. Everyone can find something to love because the teachers are flexible and students really are accepting."

With a student population that fluctuates between 1000-1100, the campus lends itself to a college atmosphere that develops students socially while its course offerings still remain diverse with five levels of drama; art classes ranging from pottery to studio art; fencing, gymnastics, and JROTC; five foreign languages; vocal and instrumental music; and more than 14 science and math courses, including forensics and robotics. Magnet offers both a rigorous and diverse program in all required courses as well as electives that challenge every student to meet his or her highest potential through the experience of success. Twenty-eight AP courses offer students college-level instruction, while other students receive the extra attention needed to master challenging coursework. While test preparation is not overlooked, the primary focus of the courses is to motivate a continued pursuit of academic interests and satisfy the individual needs of the students.

Magnet's program results in students who understand the importance of working with others, appreciate the value of hard work, and have first-hand experience with the knowledge of success.
