Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary School - London, KY

Welcome to Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary, home of the Comets. Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary is the newest elementary school in Laurel County having opened in 2006 in the rural countryside of southern Laurel County. Our school has approximately 470 students ranging from preschool through 5th grade. Our faculty and staff are committed to providing a safe and positive environment for all of our students. Our goal is to provide the best educational experience possible for every student in our classrooms. We strive to provide each and every student a strong foundation in Reading and Mathematics so they will not only be prepared, but also thrive in their further educational career and become life-long learners. We want our students to be able to reach any career goal they choose.

We value small group instruction at Wyan-Pine Grove. Our students participate in small group instruction in the areas of Reading and Math each day. These groups are designed to challenge each student to reach their maximum potential. These groups are very flexible, which allows our students to grow as we continually challenge them to reach their goals.

Our school is currently labeled a "Distinguished School" and a "School of Distinction." I am very proud of our students, faculty and staff for achieving this honor. We have worked very hard to reach this goal and we will continue to strive to improve our instruction so our students will continue to have the best education possible. I feel that I am truly blessed with the best staff on the planet. They are extremely hard working, they love kids, and will do whatever it takes to ensure their students are successful.

It is my hope and belief that if we the faculty, staff, students, and parents of Wyan-Pine Grove continue to work together we can ensure that every student will be able to achieve their highest potential.
