St. Cecilia Elementary School - Independence, KY
Blest Are We!
St. Cecilia School prepares its students for the future by providing a high-quality education that is guided by the teachings of the Catholic Faith and where students live out the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Just as Jesus was a teacher, we believe that St. Cecilia Roman Catholic School is an integral part of St. Cecilia Parish's mission to assist our parents as their children's initial teachers. We provide a safe climate that challenges students intellectually, culturally, socially, and physically.
St. Cecilia School strives to achieve a well-rounded education for all students. The teachers work in collaborative partnership with parents to nurture each childs unique gifts, strengthen their academic growth, and develop their faith formation. The faculty uses differentiated instruction and makes data-driven decisions to meet the diverse needs of their students. In addition to the core curriculum, the school provides classes in Spanish, library, art, music, technology, physical education, and religion. The faculty also integrates technology to further student progress. St. Cecilia technology consists of SMART Boards, Chromebooks for each student in grades 5-8, Chromebook carts for grades 1-4, and EdRedi tablets for all students in kindergarten.
St. Cecilia School believes that a successful school is one that allows its students, parents, and staff to feel safe and valued. The school offers many opportunities which provide the students with the tools to become effective leaders, develop new interests, and strengthen their beliefs. Through the curriculum, culture, and service to the community, St. Cecilia puts its faith into action.
