Reagan commits to working hard at building relationships with our students, families and community. This is our first priority. We believe this creates better opportunities for success in academic performance. We celebrate our successes weekly during Professional Learning Community sessions and study ways to reach the needs of our students while challenging ourselves to get better.
Our student performance has been very positive. We know that our tight commitment to teach Indiana's College Readiness Standards with a focused curriculum map is a big reason why. We have narrowed our effort to implementing a few programs with great precision. This investment allows us to simplify our practices and concentrate on strong, impactful needs-based instruction. We have a variety of instructional interventions for students based on skill needs. We have invested in a Learning Lab that offers daily opportunities for students to receive additional reading and math instruction. Our teachers lead after-school programming designed to close the gap in reading and math learning. We have an amazing group of parent volunteers that come in every day to read and study with our kids.
Through all this specific planning, we are only as good as the people that serve our students. Henry James wrote, "Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind." People first. We love our kids. We love each other. Pretty awesome to work in a place that has a foundation of love.
