Tremont Grade School, located in central Illinois, prides itself on being at the forefront of education in the area. While there are many strategies being implemented at Tremont Grade School that have contributed to our success the past few years, the one practice with the greatest impact on our success is empowerment. Administration supports this autonomy and self-determination in both staff and students. These are critical components of our culture at Tremont Grade School.
The one size fits all approach is nonexistent, as we continually strive to educate the whole child. School leadership encourages staff to recognize the individual needs and abilities of every student. We focus on where students are and assist them as they move forward. Teachers focus on student’s emotional health and support their emotional needs while increasing academic skills. The relationships between the staff, students, and community are an integral reason for our success.
