South Park Elementary School educates 486 Pre-k through fifth grade students. Located in Deerfield, Illinois, a suburb approximately 25 miles north of downtown Chicago, South Park is the beating heart of a distinguished, hard-working community that believes strongly in providing a solid, well-rounded public education for all of its children.

In 2016, South Park School was one of six schools in the state of Illinois to receive the Whole Child Award from the Illinois Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ILASCD). Our school was "recognized for its outstanding work to achieve the ASCD Whole Child Tenets." We are very proud of this state recognition, and we have incorporated this concept into our mission statement: "To educate the whole child, and ensure student growth."

Serving the needs of South Park students are 72 full- and part-time talented and dedicated staff members working together to develop well-rounded, empathetic, and highly engaged citizens. The South Park community treasures its history of academic excellence and philanthropic endeavors. Our students consistently score in the top tier of Illinois schools on academic assessments, and over the last 15 years, we have raised tens of thousands of dollars for organizations such as the Make-A-Wish foundation, The American Heart Association, the Ronald McDonald House, and our local food pantry.

Through a rigorous curriculum, a 1:1 environment, and a comprehensive social-emotional learning program, South Park students are engaged, inspired, and empowered on a daily basis. We are proud of our students, our staff, and our community.
