Resurrection Elementary, located on the west side of Dubuque, Iowa, serves students in Pre-k through grade five, as part of the Holy Family Catholic School system. Resurrection first attained National Blue Ribbon status in 2009. With a strong tradition of rigorous academics, this achievement distinguished Resurrection as a leader in faith-based and innovative education among Catholic schools.
At Resurrection Elementary, it’s all about community. Blessed with an engaged and collaborative network of parents and supportive parishioners, these community members carry our school forward and create a welcoming environment for all. Individual and school-wide achievements are recognized and celebrated, and Resurrection students are encouraged to take a leadership role in their education, church and school community, filling them with pride and ownership in their accomplishments.
Discipleship is fostered through faith-building experiences in every aspect of education. Students celebrate their faith as a community during school Mass and deepen their relationships with God through coursework, reconciliation, and daily prayer. Our focus on service begins early, as even the youngest Holy Family students hear the call to share their gifts. Woven into the curriculum throughout the year are purposeful activities that benefit the parish and community and establish our students as servant leaders in their community.
