Settles Bridge Elementary School, located in Suwanee, Georgia, is home to over 1,050 students in grades k-5. Highly motivated students come to our classrooms locally, and from all over the world with over 22 different languages currently spoken in the homes of our families. Since opening its doors in 1999, Settles Bridge Elementary students and faculty have embraced the vision to "Be a star no matter where you are!" and reinforce that daily. While a star is our school's mascot, it is also the symbol for us because a star leads the way, rises above challenges, and shines no matter where it is to make a difference in our world! Our teachers and staff are highly committed to providing a well-rounded, rigorous, and authentic learning environment for all of our students. By focusing first on building close-knit relationships between classes and staff members, we have found the power to strive for academic excellence together.
In addition to growing student leaders for success, teachers at Settles Bridge utilize a variety of instruction, research-based strategies, and innovative tools and resources to provide challenging, engaging, and authentic learning experiences at every grade level every day. Our teachers pride themselves on their professional competencies, and work to ensure all students' academic and social-emotional needs are met through quality, creative instruction. By providing students with opportunities to engage in fine arts, physical education, and strategic thinking special area classes outside of their homeroom on a daily basis, we strive to develop the whole child and provide students with the opportunity to feel success both in and out of a traditional academic setting.
