“Igniting Innovation” at A.D. Henderson & FAU High School!

Alexander D. Henderson University School (K-8) and Florida Atlantic University High School (9-12) is a public developmental research school on the Boca Raton campus of Florida Atlantic University (FAU). In 2004, our highly successful K-8 program led to the creation of a K-12 model and FAU High School was established as a fully-immersed, dual enrollment, early college program serving talented high school students in grades 9-12. As a result of FAU High's unique program design, we have 100% graduation rate, and 36 students have earned a bachelor's degree concurrently with their high school diploma. Students also average 95 university credits and 73% of these students earn their bachelor's degrees within four semesters of high school graduation.

Another unique feature at A.D. Henderson and FAU High is the cutting-edge student research program guiding student learning through widely-used research skills. The research program has yielded 22 student publications which include The New England Journal of Medicine, 50 research grants, and over 159 research presentations. Early and frequent STEM engagement beginning in kindergarten has also been instrumental to student success. Engagement in co-curricular STEM Pathway clubs, activities, and STEM courses have led to stronger critical thinking, higher self-confidence, and the development of future career skills.

At A.D. Henderson and FAU High School, our philosophy, "Ignite the Future by Building a Culture of Innovation" is embodied in our rich tradition. Our dedicated and talented educators and students, and highly-engaged families and community make A.D. Henderson and FAU High a unique K-12 educational environment.
