Colleen Bevis Elementary is a strongly interconnected community of professional colleagues, curious students, valued leaders, and supportive volunteers. With a dedication to collaboration, Bevis faculty and stakeholders are advocates for the success of each and every child.
Education at Colleen Bevis Elementary includes rigorous curriculum in the core subjects of math, science, language arts and social studies. Additional instruction in art, music, physical education, and technology help fulfill our mission. Teachers personalize instruction to optimize student learning opportunities based upon learning styles, interests, modalities and exceptionalities. Exceptional Student Education staff and trained parent tutors supplement instruction with a full continuum of services to meet students' individual needs. An intensive Academically Gifted Program coupled with many afterschool clubs (art, music, theater, chess, Tivitz, running, and gardening), provide students enrichment beyond the classroom experience.
Character development is an integral component to learning at Colleen Bevis Elementary. From service projects to purposeful fundraising and charitable donations, Bevis Broncos continuously strive to better their local and global communities. Students can be seen donating school supplies for neighboring schools in need, participating in Relay for Life events, and providing canned goods for local food banks. This helps foster the sense of pride, unity, and community exhibited by our Broncos.
Students at Colleen Bevis Elementary School continue to grow both socially and academically in classrooms that foster high expectations and a growth mindset for learning.
