Cedar Lane Elementary School is home to a thriving population of over 850 active learners and leaders who thrive on developing friendships to last a lifetime. Our students are proud to serve their community through continuous outreach projects that include food and clothing drives for those in need, service projects for soldiers overseas, the ASPCA to provide support for animals in need of homes, and much more.
As well-rounded learners who engage regularly in instruction tailored to include our District BEATS – collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and engagement – Cedar Lane students participate in highly rigorous instruction that challenges each of them to shine. Through utilization of research proven teaching strategies, Whole Brain instruction, and employment of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Kids, teachers are focused on developing well-rounded learners who are ready to grow as they acquire skills to succeed in a global society.
Staff at Cedar Lane Elementary is immersed in a highly focused cycle of professional development that allows each member to become an expert in their chosen area. As experts, the staff lead professional development for one another and take pride in growing as a cohesive group of educators. Professional Learning Communities and lesson study cycles grow the ability of each educator to deliver instruction at a level to meet the needs of all learners.
