Lawson Middle School supports connections amongst students, staff, and parents. When considering the portrait of a graduate we seek to mold, we create learning opportunities that push students to think outside the box. Wrestling with complex problems is a daily task. Rather than covering a series of isolated standards for the purpose of simply imparting knowledge, children must grapple, extrapolate, connect, and synthesize. Lessons are designed to incorporate a high degree of collaboration. Students rely on one another to elevate understanding. Learning environments are purposefully designed to allow students to take risks and debate openly. We continue to find our whole is greater than the sum of our parts. We believe Lawson is truly a special place to learn and to teach.
