Thomas Jefferson Elementary was one of the first schools built in Edinburg, Texas during the 1950s. Since then, the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District (ECISD) has grown tremendously. Jefferson Elementary is 1 of 44 campuses in ECISD.
Jefferson Elementary holds strong traditions of academic success and character building. Our goal is to instill social, physical, cultural, and emotional foundations for all students. It is through unity that the Jefferson Elementary Cowboys consistently earn academic accolades. These recognitions include state academic achievements in Reading, Math, Science, Student Progress, Closing the Performance Gap, Postsecondary Readiness, along with Title I Rewards and High Performing Schools. Jefferson Elementary prepares students with a challenging curriculum to become life-long learners in an ever changing society.
