Eastwood Academy hosts the only cybersecurity program in the region and is home to a slew of innovative and remarkably caring students and staff. Tucked away in southeast Houston, this growing family can be found at the #23rd spot amongst the top 100 Best Schools in the nation.
Over the years, Eastwood has grown exponentially and is recognized by the community to be one of the premier schools of choice within the district. The school has often been referred to as "the jewel of the East End." With this nickname comes an eighteen-year history of serving low income Latino families from the surrounding urban neighborhood. It is a diverse family-oriented school with an impressive record of creating first generation graduates and collegians. EAHS students meet at least one of the following criteria: first generation in college, economically disadvantaged, English spoken as a second language, historically underrepresented in college, and/or at risk of not graduating from high school. Academic success is supported by offering cross-curricular learning units campus-wide, providing variety of opportunities for students beyond the school year, and linking student learning opportunities to the cybersecurity and engineering industries.
