Saints Simon and Jude School (SSJ), located in West Chester, PA, has provided students in grades K-8 with high quality Catholic education since 1962. The foundation of SSJ is rooted in academic excellence and deep faith formation.
SSJ has a history of rigorous academics enhanced by the latest technology, fine arts, and high quality instructional practices to challenge each individual learner. Technology resources are up to date with current educational trends, including the use of one-on-one devices for middle school students, Smart Boards, and a modular computer lab that encourages cooperative group work. Our fine arts department encompasses choral, instrumental, and art enrichment programs. Our educators create a dynamic learning environment that incorporates the Common Core Standards leading students to become high-level critical thinkers and problem solvers. Recognizing that children have different abilities, talents, and interests, our school integrates the use of differentiated instruction at all grade levels.
SSJ has strong traditions in place to contribute to the service of the parish and wider community. As an extension of their faith, students participate in many community projects that benefit several charity organizations. The special partnership between the IHM Sisters, faculty, and school families supports the growth of our parish community as a whole.
SSJ strives to educate and develop all students academically, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually. With the constant dedication of the faculty, parents and parish community, Saints Simon and Jude School empowers students to succeed in a life filled with compassion, courage and competence.
