A Hands-on approach is a life style at Dove Science Academy OKC
Dove Science Academy-OKC first began serving Oklahoma City students in 2001. In the 16 school years since we opened our doors, we have consistently succeeded in providing a rigorous college preparatory STEM-based curriculum with a strong emphasis on discipline, character education, and service to the community. With a diverse student body of over 85 percent minority and over 80 percent free/reduced lunch each year of operation, Dove-OKC serves the students and families who need the most help. Our mission is to form a partnership among the triad of students, teachers, and parents to help our students fulfill their highest potential-intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.
High expectations and success have become the culture at Dove. We rank among the top performing schools in the city and state each year based on external evaluations such as Academic Performance Indexes, State School Report Cards, and a variety of other school ranking/accreditation reports. Dove OKC earned an A+ on our Oklahoma State Department of Education A-F Report - the highest high school report card grade in Oklahoma County for 2016. At Dove Schools, we continuously strive to develop core, ethical and performance values in everyone - every administrator, staff, faculty, parent and student member that form a united family. As a result, Dove OKC is being named both a 2017 Oklahoma School of Character and 2017 National School of Character by OKCharacter.org, Character.org and the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
