Nolley Elementary School is located in the Manchester Local School District in Akron, Ohio. Our schools are the heart of the community, and we work closely with our families to provide the best overall social, emotional, and academic environment. Nolley is a Leader in Me school with a mission of developing leaders one child at a time. We shine academically because of our school vision, "Leadership Begins Here!" Regardless of the home life or socioeconomic status of our families, our students are high achievers due to the teaching practices and positive school environment we embrace.

Through formative and summative assessment practices, the specific needs of each child are addressed and monitored. Data-driven decision-making is part of daily conversations for teachers, and the individual growth of each student is closely observed. Our expectation is that each child will take ownership of their education and learn the skills necessary to be successful in their future endeavors. Students are leaders in their own learning by creating and monitoring goals in their Leadership/Data notebooks.

Students are valued for qualities beyond their test scores. Leadership roles provide opportunities for all students to excel despite their academic aptitudes. Student Greeters welcome visitors, Safety Patrol keeps hallways safe, and Lunch Leaders assist little ones. These roles empower students to find their voice. Due to this paradigm shift, achievement and growth have increased and behavior referrals have decreased.
