Students at the James J. Ambrose School are honored for demonstrating acts of our virtue each month.

At the James J. Ambrose School we have worked hard to establish a warm and nurturing learning environment where all students feel valued, supported, and comfortable taking intellectual risks. High expectations are set for all students with differentiated supports to meet the needs of our diverse learners. As a school community we are committed to ensuring that all of our students are afforded with high-quality instruction in all academic areas and are also provided with many opportunities to enrich their learning experiences through after-school programs.

Strong teacher collaboration and a strong home-school connection have also been a major part of our success. Teacher teams meet frequently to analyze student work in order to drive their daily instruction and to plan rigorous and engaging lessons for our students aligned to the standards, as well as to our beliefs on how students learn best. Our parents are very supportive and involved, and are always welcome into our school community for many different events. One of our most successful family engagement events is Family Day, where once a month parents are invited into their child's classroom to take part in their child's learning. Parents sit alongside their child in the classroom and engage in a variety of activities such as writing celebrations, STEM activities, art projects aligned to Social Studies curriculum, math games, and read alouds.

At the James J. Ambrose School, our commitment to our children is that we provide them with the tools necessary to not only be college and career ready but also lifelong learners.
