Tighe School Pride throughout the year

Eugene A. Tighe Middle School is a place where all individuals are valued and respected. This point of view allows us to deliver learning opportunities, academic challenges, and a multitude of programs all within an environment that fosters awareness of each person's dignity and esteem.

Our experienced and dedicated staff considers the needs of each student and strives to dispense instruction, encouragement, and guidance to meet those needs. Our families and Board of Education members are committed to providing technology, programs, and staffing resources rarely found in most public schools. Every aspect of the students' school experience is carefully planned and refined each year. School leadership diligently balances the design and delivery of a rigorous, progressive curriculum in all the content areas with the evolution of a school culture rich in character development that celebrates individual gifts and diversity.

Our students learn to tackle intellectual demands through critical thinking and consistent effort, while strengthening life skills such as resiliency, determination, time management, and goal setting. Ultimately, the Eugene A. Tighe community views a child's middle school years as the time to thrive as a learner, a leader, and a young member of a global society.
