St. Peter Academy, providing the keys to a bright future.
St. Peter Academy is a faith-based PreK through 8th grade school located in northern New Jersey within the Archdiocese of Newark. The Academy is comprised of a multi-ethnic student population guided by a dedicated and well-trained faculty. The Academy is fortunate to have a high level of parental involvement fostered by the Academy's Home and School Association. Students receive a well-rounded and inclusive educational experience.
Core Curriculum infused academic subjects are reinforced through the integration of technology. Students also enjoy and excel in specialized music, art, world language and physical education courses. The Academy maintains a Special Education Resource Center offering targeted assistance in all academic subjects with a special emphasis on reading skills and speech improvement. A counselor and school psychologist help to provide students with a pathway to academic and social improvement focusing on the individuality of a student's personality, learning style and Catholic identity. All of these components have raised students' standardized test scores and allowed our students to attend the Catholic high schools of their choice with many students receiving merit scholarships.
Volunteerism and caring are basic tenets of the Catholic faith. St. Peter Academy students are involved in numerous outreach programs to help the needy throughout the Archdiocese. Food and clothing drives, financial support of children's hospitals and contributions to the Heart Foundation and Red Cross are activities found within the fabric of the school.
St. Peter Academy is strong because of our belief in daily prayer, academic excellence, care and concern for those in need.
