The vision of Davis Drive Middle School is to work collaboratively as a community to prepare students to be highly effective communicators, critical thinkers, and innovators in a complex and changing world. Staff members of Davis Drive Middle School are dedicated to go above-and-beyond their basic duties to ensure the success of all students each and every day. The 1348 culturally diverse students are representative of over 10 countries. We are surrounded by many innovative universities in North Carolina, as well as The Research Triangle Park. Our location provides a vision of what success looks like upon college graduation, while also allowing access to experts in their fields to easily visit our school, present information to our learners, and offer a large array of topics for study and exploration. This unique combination of diversity and success helps foster a foundation of high academic achievement and social awareness.
We are excited to offer students opportunities to grow and develop their abilities by maximizing instructional time, by hiring only highly qualified educators who work together to design rigorous and enriching lessons, and by integrating technologies to increase academic engagement. Staff and students are regularly surveyed to measure the effectiveness of these programs. Through these surveys, 94.4 percent of our staff and 91.3 percent of students have indicated that our school is a good place to work and learn. Davis Drive Middle School excels in our motto "Effort Drives Excellence" and pushes every individual to #DriveFwd in all aspects of their lives.
