PBL, Student Engagement, and Character Development

The faculty and staff of Mallinckrodt Academy are committed to providing students with a global education where the comprehensive mindset directs teaching and learning. The staff is encouraged to become teacher leaders and model the leadership development for the students. Flexible grouping, differentiated instruction, and curriculum compacting allow our students to progress as rapidly as they are able, while continuing to ensure mastery. Excellence is the end goal for our faculty, staff, parents, and students in all endeavors. Our staff focuses on developing the whole child, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. Nurturing our students is a main priority and the support that students receive creates a safe and positive learning environment that encourages risk-taking and problem solving. The STEM focus at the school allows students to experience science, technology, engineering, and math in a professional setting that encourages students to investigate these disciplines in a more in-depth manner and steers the students toward their personal interests and talents.

At Mallinckrodt Academy, we are growing a community of learners who are problem solvers, as well as environmentalists. Global issues are an integral component of instruction and learning, thereby preparing our students to be productive problem solvers as they progress through the 21st century.

An area in which our teachers excel is the designing of differentiated, individualized data-led instruction that fosters the growth of the whole child. Challenging students is the road map for our success.
