Summary

The Atlanta C-3 School district serves the town of Atlanta, Missouri. Atlanta is a small, rural town located in a farming community in Northeast Missouri. The mission of the district is for our students to achieve SUCCESS. Success is molding self-directed learners who utilize and apply information and ideas to become complex problem-solvers and decision-makers who are competent individuals in basic and advanced academic skills and effective communicators so that they may become self-confident, responsible society contributors. The students of Atlanta C-3 have achieved academically and socially through the hard work of teachers, parents, and community members.

The programs incorporated at Atlanta C-3 have been proven to be effective for our students. Three of the programs that have helped make students successful at Atlanta C-3 are RTI (Response To Intervention), Reading Recovery, and Rocket Math. All three of these programs focus on the growth of each individual student. Reading Recovery and Rocket Math are programs headed by our school-wide Title program. The academic foundation that is created by these programs, coupled with our strong belief in partnering with the parents of our students, has created an environment that has allowed our students to succeed academically and socially.

Teachers work hard, using data-driven instruction to ensure that each student reaches his or her full potential. The support that parents and community members give to the school is outstanding. The positive relationship of trust between the school and community has been developed over time, with the greatest outcome being the growth of our students.
