Lake Marion Elementary (LME) is a K-5 school serving over 600 students in Lakeville, a suburb outside of Minneapolis, MN. Lake Marion has attained "Reward School" status five of the last six years, celebrating Minnesota Title I schools with high levels of achievement while closing the learning gap.
Lake Marion is a special place to learn where all are committed to having fun through joyous learning experiences. Smiles are abound at LME. Students regularly talk about how much they love school and their teachers. This comes from a core value held by Lake Marion's staff of a commitment to all students while developing relationships and investing in our community. Having a mobility rate around 25%, outreach efforts are essential to making every child and family feel part of the LME community. From our Walk-a-Thon, Bingo Night, and Activity Day, Lake Marion provides engaging events that keep our community connected throughout the year.
Our success comes from the belief that all students can learn at high levels. We ensure this collective commitment by collaboratively establishing clarity around what it is that students need to know and do. Our highly trained staff designs personalized learning opportunities aligned to the Minnesota Academic Standards that provide deep levels of understanding through continuous feedback. Lake Marion embraces its diverse community. We are dedicated to providing a well-rounded education to our students that support not only academic growth and proficiency, but also social and emotional well-being. Our staff's perseverance and grit has led us to this reward.
