The Iris Becker Elementary School motto is "We're Family!" We consciously design our lessons with the whole child in mind. This creates an atmosphere that every child matters. Taking the time to invest in the social/emotional well-being of each student allows for our students to know that all the adults in the school are devoted to their academic and personal success.

At Iris Becker, we pride ourselves in being a close-knit community that ensures that all students' success is our success. Building great rapport with students and our families allows for us to bridge the gaps and further communicates that we are committed to each child's academic and social/emotional development. The partnerships with our parents are critical to our students' successes. We provide parents with monthly parent workshops throughout the year as well as various family night activities. At Iris Becker, we emphasize fluidity between home and school using the parent partnership model.

We are dedicated to the notion that every student can achieve any goal as long as we have high expectations for each child. Taking the time to identify the needs of our students is a priority. Developing ways for students to reach higher capacities is a goal for each teacher. Teachers collaborate closely within their professional learning communities while using student data to identify the needs of students.
