St. Joseph School, located in historic Bardstown, Kentucky, is a vibrant, vital Catholic school that reaches out to students from preschool to eighth grade. Since 1953, St. Joseph School's mission has been to provide an environment of academic excellence for all students based in Catholic values and traditions. St. Joseph School is committed to helping students develop the spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional skills needed to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

St. Joseph School celebrates learning. The teachers develop a growth mindset in each of our students by providing exciting and innovative learning experiences such as our annual STEAM day. On STEAM day, regional businesses and universities enlighten our students' minds with hands-on, real-world applications, and scenarios based on our curriculum. It is an amazing day of community involvement and outreach.

Strong support and collaboration from the parish, parents, teachers, administrators, and community is our cornerstone. This allows St. Joseph School to provide a learning environment and experiences preparing all students for successful participation in Church, academics, the community, and their personal relationships. St. Joseph School is proud to be a part of the Archdiocese of Louisville. The Archdiocese performs in the top 15% nationally on Terra Nova exams for grades 3, 5, & 7.

St. Joseph School passes along traditions to empower our children to be: children of faith, children of service, children of knowledge, children of tradition, and children of discovery.
