Ruth Clark Elementary

Ruth Clark Elementary's Spring Fun Run - Teaching healthy choices!

Ruth Clark Elementary is a School-wide Title building serving 380 students, pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. It is one of six elementary schools in Haysville, a suburban town south of Wichita, Kansas. The motto at Ruth Clark is One Team, One Goal. This focus is key to student success. The unfailing commitment from staff and students to do what is best for our students and school creates a sense of family and community. This commitment is achieved and supported through the building of strong relationships. We utilize the principles of Capturing Kids' Hearts combined with a focus on the positive. Students and visitors are greeted each day with handshakes and affirmations to set the tone for a positive learning environment. When students know you care, the true learning begins.

The staff at Ruth Clark understands the relationship between intervention and student success. We monitor data to identify individual student needs to provide support. We do whatever it takes to find the resources to help our students succeed. Staff focus on helping students be the best they can be in every way. We promote the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices. We model these choices with our Girls on the Run, Mighty Milers, and noon fitness programs.

Focusing on the academic, emotional and physical well-being of all students is key to our success. Our staff truly cares for the whole child and we endeavor to pass this on to our students in order to develop caring, contributing members of our global society.
