"Don't have a great day, make a great day"! This is the daily motto heard by Rogers Elementary Bulldogs and the motto students and staff spend their day striving to achieve.
Second and third graders attend Rogers Elementary School located in Waterloo, Illinois. Students' high achievements are attributed to spending their days problem solving to gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, reading on grade level in whole group and individual levels in a small group setting, writing for a variety of authentic purposes, and exploring the world around us through STEM activities. With students being 2:1 with technology, they have the world at their fingertips to learn and explore.
The continuous student data collected by classroom teachers is used to drive the individualized instruction, intervention and enrichment for students.
The staff at Rogers Elementary believes the education of students is a team effort. Parents spend their time volunteering to help in classrooms and work with students. Community members volunteer their time to help engage and enrich the curriculum for the students.
