Mary Morgan Elementary School is located in Byron, Illinois, and serves approximately 740 students in grades Pre-K to 5. Mary Morgan Elementary School maintains very high academic and behavioral expectations. Every morning all students and staff collectively recite the Mary Morgan Pledge:
"We at Mary Morgan are committed to excellence. We pledge to cooperate, show respect, and be responsible and honest, as we think, learn and grow together."
We attribute our success to a highly-engaged, progressive-minded staff, a comprehensive and aligned curriculum, a robust system of supports, and a very supportive community. Mary Morgan staff treats all of their students as individuals and works tirelessly to ensure each achieves to their maximum potential. Following the frameworks of Professional Learning Communities, teachers at Mary Morgan work collaboratively to enhance grade level curricula, measure cohort achievement, and systematically respond to student need. In addition to a guaranteed and viable curriculum, Mary Morgan houses a fully-functioning, multi-tiered system of supports that ensures all students receive what they need both academically and behaviorally. In additional to that, the amount of support from our community stakeholders is second to none. Mary Morgan routinely benefits from the time and resources provided to us by parents, businesses, organizations, and citizens.
