Since its founding, the leadership and faculty at Mount Dora Christian Academy have demonstrated the belief that each child is a gift from God with inherent talents and abilities. Allowing each one to develop academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally is a daily practice delivered largely through the fostering of personal relationships and a commitment to the school's mission to educate for life and eternity. Utilizing a rigorous, standards-based curriculum, the school's faculty infuses their teaching with Biblical truth and a Christian worldview. In addition to core subjects, every student receives daily instruction in fine arts, physical education, technology, and Bible.
Mount Dora Christian Academy is located in beautiful Mount Dora, Florida, a charming historic small city in the heart of central Florida. MDCA was founded in 1945 by a group of Christians seeking to fulfill their dream of establishing a local Christian school. Today, the school boasts over 70 acres of classrooms, meeting facilities and athletic fields.
When children know that the adults around them are invested in them and have provided a safe place to fall, they are free to learn, to take risks in learning and to explore new interests. If you ask any student, parent, or faculty member to tell you why MDCA is special, they will tell you it is the family atmosphere and the relationships that are built on a daily basis. Intentional relationship building combined with diligent attention to achievement has proven to be a winning combination for MDCA.
