Summary

At the core of our work at Seaford Central Elementary is the belief that we make a difference with each and every child. Central Elementary staff recognize that children have to become productive, caring, thinking citizens. Believing that our students are tomorrow's local, national, and global leaders, we have adopted the school motto of "Relationships Matter," which captures what we know to be the foundation of our work as educators.

Although a data-driven mindset is vital, we believe a positive school culture is one of the most critical factors in shaping the success of the school. Because of the positive culture, the academics of our students soar as we teach students lessons that extend beyond the classroom. Our goal is to leave this place better than we found it, and the entire staff as a "Blue Jay Superstar Family" does just that. Moreover, our staff is committed to providing each student with the strong academic foundation necessary for any endeavor. Furthermore, our students continually practice effective communication skills, both interpersonal and presentational.

Each individual educator at Central Elementary School is valued; however, we understand that the collective work of everyone as a team of people is far more thoughtful and effective than what one can produce independently. Therefore, the educators at Central Elementary School value collaborative planning and shared analysis of data to create high quality, rigorous, standards-based lessons based on student needs. Our work in Professional Learning Communities has created a culture that always expects excellence. Everyone takes ownership and responsibility for learning and success at Seaford Central Elementary School. Together, as a team of united educators and as a "family," we each make a difference by impacting the lives of the students we serve.
