"Each child brings his or her own blessing into the world" --Talmud
Tucked away on a graceful campus in Stamford, Connecticut, Bi-Cultural Day School is a pre-k through grade 8 Jewish community day school, built on a strong foundation of academic excellence and enduring values, and committed to excellence and innovation in general and Jewish studies, sports, and the arts.
A dual language/dual curriculum school, students are immersed in English and Hebrew from Pre-K on, enabling them to develop proficiency in two languages as well as an appreciation for cultural diversity. The in-depth study of Jewish texts helps develop critical thinking skills and serves to build character and create young leaders of integrity.
At the heart of Bi-Cultural's philosophy lies the school's commitment to educating the "whole" child and developing the "whole" person. Toward that end, Bi-Cultural's dedicated faculty tailor teaching strategies to the learning style of each individual student, thus cultivating his or her unique interests and abilities--often through small group tutorials and one-on-one instruction. Cutting edge technology and two Makerspace arenas (for preschoolers and grades 1-8) serve to encourage out-of-the-box thinking and foster curious minds, giving students opportunities to engage in STEAM literacies necessary to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
At Bi-Cultural, students from across the spectrum of Jewish life are embraced in the warmth of the Modern Orthodox Jewish tradition, cultivating within them a deep, enduring pride in their heritage.
