Increasing learning for all, one student at a time...Wildflower Elementary!

Peach Hill Academy is a 21st century school located in the beautiful town of Moorpark, California. Peach Hill is an official Core Knowledge Honor School of Distinction. The first area of distinction is the integration of curriculum (CCSS & CK). The second area of distinction is our intervention programs-Targeted Learning Time.

Peach Hill Academy uses the Core Knowledge Sequence as a vehicle for ensuring that all our students participate in a rigorous and consistently implemented curriculum. Core Knowledge is an educational reform based on the premise that a grade-by-grade core of common learning is necessary to ensure a sound and fair education. Core Knowledge promotes high literacy by providing a solid, specific, shared core curriculum. It establishes strong foundations of knowledge in the areas of language arts, mathematics, world history, American history, geography, science, visual arts, and music.

Targeted Learning Time takes place for one hour each day. During this time all students in grades K-5 are served in homogeneous groups by grade level according to their individual needs in language arts; reading intervention, English Language Development, or enrichment. This grouping allows teachers to focus the entire instructional period on a homogeneous group of students at their level.

The entire school community shares high expectations for all students. As a result of this shared community, children feel happy, safe, and loved. The joy of learning abounds and teachers, classified employees, and administration work together as a close knit team, continually striving to meet the needs of all students.
