MPS 3rd grade students working in math partners.

Over the past year, all elementary schools in the Jasper City School District have gone through a reconfiguration process. This process has allowed us to combine our grade levels from each elementary school in order to create a more focused and targeted approach to educating all students throughout our school district. With this approach in mind, we believe that as a school and as a grade level team, we are "Better Together." Memorial Park Elementary now encompasses second and third grade students for the entire school district.

Memorial Park Elementary School embodies its purpose through its high expectations for student learning. We pledge to "do whatever it takes" for students from all backgrounds to succeed. This is done through innovative programs, varied teaching strategies, and parental involvement. Our success is based on the experience and dedication of the faculty and the willingness of parents to support and contribute to all aspects of the educational program. We believe in the importance of each child, regardless of their background or the needs they bring to the classroom. Memorial Park Elementary strives for the integration of curriculum, varied teaching techniques, technology, a positive learning atmosphere, and parental involvement. We identify that each of these areas is a major component of education that together help shape a school to meet the needs of the children it educates.
