Cross Timbers Elementary is part of a small, interwoven community in Azle, Texas. Located just miles from the DFW metropolis, there is a diverse population of students both ethnically and socioeconomically. Teachers, staff, and parent volunteers work together to create a sense of community and family within the school. Students arrive each day ready with the 5 P's: Present, Punctual, Prepared, Participating, and Polite. Using this mantra, teachers and parents recognize that every minute of the day is valued and utilized for maximum effectiveness. The staff at CTE believe all students can be successful and recognize that just as each child is unique, so is each child's successes. Teachers and staff at CTE set high expectations for each child, and every effort is made to address individual learning needs. All those who work within the walls of CTE recognize that students' basic needs must be met before learning can begin, and the campus utilizes every resource available within its community to meet those needs.
