Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic School - Houston, TX
Proud to be Catholic and living our faith!
Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic School (SVdP), located near the Houston Medical Center, was founded in 1943 to serve the families of the parish and surrounding Catholic community. Today the school serves a wide range of zip codes and a multicultural population. With parents as partners, SVdP has a long history of fostering academic excellence and spiritual formation that has produced high achieving students for over 70 years. This strong collaboration promotes the success of SVdP graduates as they advance to competitive high schools and beyond, often becoming leaders in the Catholic community. The school currently boasts over 30 second generation families.
Our Catholic identity is at the heart of student learning. A rigorous core curriculum, complimented by a myriad of enrichment electives, enhances the program of study. SVdP, as a twenty first century school, has allocated resources targeting the continued development of a strong STEM program which includes Global Inventors, Global Doctors, and Robotics for grades PreK-8th. The parish and parent community add additional resources to fund a technology rich campus. A strong Fine Arts program includes a band, bell choir, and an award winning Pueri Cantores choir that has recently performed at the Vatican. Competitive sports, along with an after school program that provides extra-curricular clubs and enrichment activities, round out the SVdP student experience. With Christ at our center, the mission of SVdP, to develop each child to his or her fullest potential in an environment permeated with Gospel values, is fulfilled.
