Holy Family School is a Christ-centered, student driven, family-focused center of academic excellence located in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
The commitment to provide a premier Catholic education focusing on each individual learner has been the most influential practice in Holy Family's success. Use of differentiating instruction techniques allow students to choose projects or assignments, thus enhancing their engagement. Instructional techniques used include cooperative and discovery learning as well as peer- and self-evaluation.
Among other program offerings, technology enhances instruction for all learners. Students in 5th through 8th grade have their own school-issued iPad. Each classroom is equipped with a Smartboard, and to support student-driven education, teachers encourage students to use apps such as iMovie. Holy Family is likewise proud of its elective program which enriches upper grade students by exposing them to broader interests. The students also learn Spanish from an experienced teacher while employing Rosetta Stone to enhance their learning. The students gain awareness of the need to help others by brainstorming and executing service projects in each grade level, and they engage in community outreach by visiting the Senior Center, assisting the local food banks, and praying for community members.
Proud of the history and grateful for God's presence, the current Holy Family School staff continue the mission entrusted to them, recognizing that a partnership with families is vital to the success of the school. Applying the traditions of faith, academic excellence, and service, Holy Family provides an environment where students flourish academically, emotionally, physically, and socially.
