Blended Learning walkthrough at Icahn Charter School 4

At Icahn Charter School 4, students learn and grow with the guidance of caring, dedicated, and highly qualified educators in a learner-active, technology-infused environment. E.D. Hirsch's Core Knowledge curriculum prepares students for success by ensuring that they learn the foundational facts and principles of classic literature, social studies, science, math, art, and music. Innovative teachers use technology, blended learning, and hands-on activities to make instruction in all content areas authentic, differentiated, and fun. The Targeted Assistance program ensures that students who are struggling receive additional small-group instruction that is tailored to their academic needs. Saturday academy--and the much-beloved annual ELA and Math skills carnivals--provide another opportunity for additional support. Icahn Charter School 4 fosters students' creativity with electives and afterschool programs, including creative writing, robotics, choir, basketball, cooking, step, Ballroom Basix, Ironwill Kids, and Xposure. In addition, Icahn Charter School 4 uses Move This World to facilitate students' socioemotional growth by giving students movement-centered daily rituals to increase their self-awareness and emotional management skills, which they utilize both within and outside of school. The school's commitment to students' holistic growth and emotional well-being is reflected in the school's warm and inviting culture. Parents and guardians are invited to be essential members of the school through various parent workshops. At Icahn Charter School 4, every staff member helps every student by pairing high standards for behavior and academic success with love and support to encourage students to believe in and achieve their fullest potential.
