Honeoye Falls-Lima Senior High School - Honeoye Falls, NY

HF-L Students in action.
Honeoye Falls-Lima High School (HF-L) is located in a suburban village fifteen miles South of Rochester in upstate New York. HF-L fully endorses the 21st Century Learning Standards identified as "Future Ready" - College and Career Readiness and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) initiatives. We encourage all students to complete four levels of math and science so that all our graduates have the knowledge and skills needed to qualify for and succeed in their post-secondary options in our ever changing world. HF-L students learn as college students do; they are encouraged to explore, create, build, discover their passion, and express their individuality.
"The notion that it takes a village, is something that I truly believe is critical for student success and to support the District's strategic intent of celebrating Cougar Pride." David Roth, Principal.
Our attendance rate is over 96% and our graduation rate is 100%. Afternoon busses are empty because HF-L students stay for clubs, academic help, peer tutoring, music groups, First Robotics, or athletics. Our students truly enjoy one another's company; they recognize the importance of connectedness to each other, staff, and school opportunities. This connectedness becomes pride, which ignites a healthy balance of effort and reward.
Most importantly, our community is proud of our schools. Community support allows us to offer enriching academic opportunities and multiple options for extracurricular involvement. Our students embrace the importance of engagement scholastically and extracurricularly, service to school and community, and development of leadership skills and character.
