Central Jersey College Prep Charter School - Somerset, NJ

Central Jersey College Prep Charter School (CJCP) is a K-12, comprehensive college prep school offering a small learning community for its students.

CJCP implements one-to-one technology program that boosts technology integration and data-driven instruction. Additionally, CJCP offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes electives that represent various areas of interest to our students. All of our courses are aligned with the SAT subject test standards and AP level standards so that our students are well-prepared for college level rigor. We offer 15 AP level courses across seven subject areas and encourage students in all grades to take these high level courses. As a result, we have nearly 50% of our high school students enrolled in at least one AP course. Coupled with effective instructional methods, small-group interventions are also an integral part of instructional setting at CJCP to ensure that all students learn and are prepared for college by CJCP's tech-savvy, hard-working, and dedicated staff.

The implementation of these instructional techniques has led us to our fourth consecutive years with 100% graduation rate and 100% acceptance rate into 4-year colleges and universities. This type of progress has lead to numerous recognitions. In 2014-15 CJCP was designated a High Performing Rewards School in NJ plus received a special Title I School Rewards Grant. Our school was nominated this year for 2016 National Title I Distinguished School Award. In 2015, US News included CJCP in its bronze category of top US high schools. In 2013-14 JerseyCAN designated us a Top Ten Middle School.
