Learning and Love are the Keys that Open Many Doors...

Saint Augustine of Canterbury School is a Roman Catholic Pre-K 3 to Grade 8 Elementary School located in Kendall Park, New Jersey within the Diocese of Metuchen. For over 50 years, "St. A's" has fulfilled its mission to foster in its students a love for the values found in Catholicism while providing an academic program based on excellence and the full development of their unique talents and abilities. Traditional and 21st Century tools such as iPads, Chromebooks, Google Apps for Education, and Google Classroom are blended seamlessly into a standards-based curriculum focused on critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration and enriched with STEM/STREAM activities and project-based learning. Morning announcements, prayer services, and breaking school news are broadcast to every classroom on KTN - the Knights Television Network, our award-winning student-run closed-circuit TV station. Students can participate in a wide variety of clubs and programs, including Sports, Literary Club, Robotics, Drama, Student Council, Forensics, National Junior Honor Society, our World Finals participant Odyssey of the Mind teams, and many student-led community-based service projects. The school is supported by a vibrant and engaged school community and a nationally-recognized Home School Association. Through fidelity to the teachings of the Catholic Church, Saint Augustine School's rich heritage continues, shaped by the dedication and caring of the administration, faculty, and staff who endeavor to maintain a caring, supportive, and safe atmosphere in which self-esteem can be nurtured and learning can take place. Our mission goes beyond what we say and what we do. It is who we are.
