Friendship Academy of the Arts is a positive, supportive, and affirming environment committed to a philosophy of excellence. FAA provides a high quality academic experience through the infusion of arts into our culture and curriculum; and culturally responsive teaching techniques and materials. The mission of Friendship Academy of the Arts is "To education children to be confident and creative citizens." Our vision states, "Learners are empowered to find meaning and understanding through the arts, which include: dance, music, theater, literature, media, and visual." Friendship Academy of the Arts has high expectations for learning and believes that: 1) Every person deserves respect, 2) Every person's intrinsic value is non-negotiable, 3) Engagement in creative activities fosters critical thinking, 4) High standards stimulate achievement, 5) Every student possesses the potential to learn, 6) Arts integration enhances the learner intellectually and culturally, 7) Family involvement is critical to student learning, 8) Learning is a lifelong process, and 9) Education provides access to unlimited opportunities.

Friendship Academy of the Arts (FAA) as a community, illustrates the commitment of the staff, parents, students, volunteers, community representatives, and members of the FAA board. The results speak to the rigorous standards and expectations implemented throughout the K-6 program.
