DaVinci Academy of Arts and Science, located in the Minneapolis suburb of Blaine, is a K-8 public charter school in its ninth year of operation. Our goal as a community is to cultivate curiosity and ignite excellence for all students. Designated as a Reward School by the Minnesota Department of Education for all 6 years the designation has been available, DaVinci Academy is one of only 3 Minnesota charter schools to achieve this recognition. Reward Schools are recognized for students' academic proficiency and growth in addition to our success in closing the achievement gap for our students.

DaVinci Academy has a strong focus on both art and science, as well as providing differentiated instruction, enhanced learning experiences, and a character development program. We provide a rigorous curriculum and have high expectations for all students. Our students are competitive in state and national academic programs such as Word Masters, Continental Math, Battle of the Books, and Future Problem Solvers. We strive to know the needs and to ignite a passion for learning one child at a time. We believe the strong growth of our students, including all subgroups, is based primarily on our detailed attention to data. This data includes not only students' academic performance, but also the physical and social needs, family strengths and concerns, and emotional and mental health. Our shared vision is to discover and build on the strengths of each student.
