South Ripley Junior High School is located in Versailles, IN. The school system serves as the hub for the community. The junior high is fortunate to have a community that supports education. The school is comprised of grades 7 and 8 with approximately 202 students. South Ripley Junior High School was named a "Four Star School" and an "A Rated School" for the last four years. In 2016, the school was named a national "School to Watch". The school prides itself on its reputation of academic excellence with students having performed among the highest in the state on state standardized test as well as continuing to show individual high growth.

The Indiana Department of Education recognized our advisory class as one of 200 Promising Practices. In advisory class, students focus on community service where students give back to the community, character education, and building relationships.

South Ripley Junior High uses a teaming concept to provide an environment that allows teachers to work collaboratively to meet the academic needs of its learners. This provides the opportunity for cross curricular projects as well as time to assess data. Assessing data allows teachers to target areas of weakness. Teachers collaborate to formulate a plan for individual students. Data is shared with parents through student led conferences.

SRJHS fosters a learning environment that instills high expectations and desires 'excellence for every child'. Through a variety of strategies, teachers integrate technology to implement 21st century learning. Here, every student is capable of reaching their potential.
