Damiansville Elementary School District 62 is a small rural kindergarten through 8th grade school district in southern Illinois. Damiansville Elementary School values the idea of students being life-long learners. Our community not only encourages their children to learn, but is involved in the learning process. Leaders in our school and community provide a learning environment where children will have the opportunity to learn to the best of their ability. The future of our students is one in which they will be able to live and work in an ever-changing global society.
Damiansville District 62 has small class sizes with excellently trained educators who engage the students on a daily basis in fundamental core classes. We also offer a variety of encore classes where our students learn from culturally enriching activities. We are very proud of our academic success in and out of the classroom. Our teachers are passionate about learning and the success of our students.
District 62 strives to improve on all factors associated with student success. Our district outperforms the Illinois state average in truancy rate, retention or mobility of students, and boasts a 97% attendance rate. Our leaders continue to work to be fiscally responsible while providing an excellent education for our students.
