Countryside Elementary School is located in Barrington Hills, Illinois, and serves 414 students in kindergarten through grade 5. Countryside is one of 12 schools in the Barrington 220 School District.
One of the first schools established in the Barrington area in 1942, the Countryside community embraces cultural diversity and celebrates unique qualities in every student. Countryside offers many exceptional opportunities for children including Chinese immersion, entrepreneurial and STEM curriculum, accelerated learning for gifted students, and specialized classrooms for students needing more support.
The school's staff members are committed to implementing best practice instruction and building a relationship-centered learning community. The Countryside culture is very focused on volunteerism, community outreach, and social-emotional competencies.
