St. Thomas More Catholic School is a joyful learning community reaching out to the world as the hands of Christ. Every day our 480 students proudly recite the short yet powerful mission statement of St. Thomas More Catholic School (STM). The teachers and staff of STM are committed to providing every child with a first rate, high quality Catholic education. To accomplish this goal, the teachers use an integrated educational approach, along with the principles of Catholic teachings, bringing together faith and technology, body and mind, creativity and reason, and science and religion. High expectations are held for every student which encourages achievement at the very highest levels.
In order to integrate technology across all academic areas, students of STM have access to iPads, Chrome Books, lap tops and a computer lab. In addition, Promethean "Smart Boards" are present in every classroom to allow teachers to interact with and engage our students through technology, while modeling its effective use.
St. Thomas More is the only church parish in the Archdiocese of Atlanta sponsored by the Society of Jesus or Jesuits, as such, Jesuit Spirituality is incorporated into all aspects of our daily prayer life. At STM students extend their learning beyond the classroom by adopting service-minded community outreach projects. As a school dedicated to teaching and living Catholic values, our students become confident, responsible, life-long learners who can serve God and make moral decisions based on Gospel values.
