Learning is fun at Northside Christian Elementary School!

Learning is fun at Northside Christian Elementary School!

Northside Christian Elementary School (NCES), set in sunny, St. Petersburg, Florida, serves 230 students in kindergarten through 6th grade. A Christ-centered school, NCES is dedicated to biblical instruction and to the spiritual growth of each student. Critical thinking skills and a technology-enriched program are part of the successful formula for setting high academic expectations. Opportunities abound for students to achieve above grade level in reading and math and have resulted in national test scores that fall in the top 15% of the nation. Keeping the "whole child" in mind, all elementary students participate in Music, Band, Art, Computer, Spanish, Physical Education, and Science Lab each week. NCES students know that working hard and working together brings success! Collaboration takes place through hands-on activities, iPad projects, and through STEM experiments. NCES students put their faith into action by serving their community by packing meals for the hungry, honoring first responders, building beds for the needy, visiting nursing homes, and by writing letters to the men and women in the military. The Northside Mustang Volunteer Program embraces parents and grandparents as valuable resources and uses volunteers to provide individualized instruction to students and support to the teachers. However, the greatest strength of NCES is loving, masterful teachers who intentionally help students to find relevance and application in what they are learning. Students arrive each day knowing that their successes will be celebrated and that they will be encouraged and loved by their Northside Christian Family!
