Dover Air Base Middle School is a unique school that primarily serves children of military members at Dover Air Force Base. The success of the school is rooted in its excellent parental support and an unparalleled student work ethic that is synonymous with the U.S. Military. The staff creates an environment of constant academic improvement and meaningful personal growth for all children.

The teachers consistently provide engaging and effective classroom instruction. 21st Century Learning Skills are emphasized. Students regularly use technology and work individually and cooperatively to meet learning goals. In addition, a multi-faceted support program is designed to allow struggling learners to fill in their learning gaps in the content areas. These interventions not only concentrate on re-teaching critical material, but also focus on pre-teaching high-priority core content that is essential for student understanding. These programs work together with the aforementioned outstanding classroom instruction to maximize the effectiveness of the student learning experience. Finally, our differentiated instruction period for math and language arts allows us to provide additional classroom experiences to maximize all students' potential.

We are also proud to work in conjunction with the military to provide our students with a unique program, Students of Families dealing with Separation and Deployment (FSD). This program helps our students deal with the distinct social and emotional needs of being a member of a military family.

Our key to success is simple, as we have excellent community support combined with first-rate classroom instruction provided by a dedicated, expert staff!
